ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — University of Rochester faculty are working with doctors and science teachers to bring a COVID-19 unit to middle school science classrooms.

Beginning next week, four school districts are taking part: Rochester, East Irondequoit, Brighton and Naples.

The unit called "COVID Connects Us" will include messages from the Commissioner of Public Health, Dr. Michael Mendoza and Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren.

The goal is to help students understand the science and activism around the pandemic.
