NBC News says the first reported birth using a deceased donor's womb was in Brazil last December.

The girl was born in June via C-section, and the mom and the baby are said to be doing well.

The birth and transplant were part of a clinical trial. Doctors have so far completed five uterus transplants with three being successful.

The clinic says two of the patients are currently waiting to attempt pregnancy.
