ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)–- New York State announced Saturday the state has dealt out more than 10 million COVID vaccine doses.
The state reports 1.4 million of those doses have been given within the last week, including a reported record-high 249,541 within the last 24 hours.
Per the state's Vaccine Tracker, this means 32.5% of the state has received at least one dose. Remember both Moderna and Pfizer require two shots, while the Johnson and Johnson vaccine requires just one. For reference, 36.2% of Monroe County has been vaccinated.
New York will begin offering the vaccine to anyone 16 years and older starting Tuesday, this comes after it expanded eligibility to people 30 and up last week.
