CONESUS, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Livingston County Department of Health is informing the public that a bat has tested positive for rabies in the Town of Conesus.
The positive test came back Tuesday.
All unvaccinated mammals are at risk for the deadly virus.
Pet owners are advised to stay away from wild animals and keep vaccinations up to date.
