ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Former Rep. Chris Collins wants to push his prison report date back again because of continued concern over the coronavirus pandemic.
Back in April, a request was filed for the same reason, pushing his report date back to June 23.
With June approaching, the new request cites a concern that COVID-19 cases in prisons may "surge," and that Collins is at increased risk because he is older than 65.
Collins was previously scheduled to report on April 21, after his report dates pushed back because he was not in the Bureau of Prisons' system.
His original report date was March 17.
Collins was sentenced to serve 26 months in prison back in January for insider trading and lying to the FBI.
