Without tickets sales and patrons during the coronavirus shut down, local arts organizations are looking to alternative methods of funding to keep their operations going.

One of those alternative funders is the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts, which is a group working to support many different kinds of arts organizations in our region. Executive Director Deborah Bump, Program Coordinator Katelyn Costello and their team are working to support all kinds of groups, from yoga studios to symphonies and everything in between.

Now is a critical time for them as their member organizations start looking forward to reopening their doors. Arts organizations will be permitted to open as part of Phase 4 of the NYS reopening plan.
