LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Livingston County Department of Health said the most recent surveillance performed on Conesus Lake did not find harmful algae blooms.

News10NBC reported on it when blooms were first found on the lake on July 7, at first mostly along the northern shore near Vitale Park, before it spread to other areas.

While blue green algae was not found, the health department is still advising people to use caution when swimming in the lake.
