FRIDLEY, M.N. (WHEC) — There is a new consumer alert for diabetes patients stating some insulin pumps are under recall.
The recall comes after injuries and one reported death were reported due to the device malfunctioning according to the announcement from the United States Department of Agriculture.
The company Medtronic recalled certain MiniMed 600 Series Insulin Pumps for delivering incorrect insulin dosages due to a missing or broken retainer ring.
The recall includes about 322,000 devices.
