ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The remains of Chief Warrant Officer Christian Koch was honored with a procession Wednesday morning.
Koch was escorted from the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office to a funeral home in Mount Morris in Livingston County. Koch grew up in the nearby community of York. He was a 20-year veteran of the New York Army National Guard.
Fellow guardsmen, Steven Skoda, and Daniel Prial were honored with a procession Tuesday en route to Fort Drum in Watertown.
The three of them were killed in a helicopter crash in Mendon on Jan. 20.
Route is as follows: Medical Examiner's office to E. Henrietta Rd to Route 390 South to Mount Morris. There are multiple overpasses in Henrietta and Rush that can be used to view and pay your respects. Be advised that this plan is subject to change.

The procession traveled down East Henrietta Road and Route 390 South.
The Patriot Guard and fellow service members lined the road as a procession drove south.
"Obviously it's heartbreaking that this guy that donates his time passed away helping all of us," Patriot Guard member Mike Gracie said.
Koch will be laid to rest on Friday during a private ceremony.
The funeral home says there will be a public memorial service for Koch sometime in the future when coronavirus restrictions allow.
