ROCHESTER, N.Y. — We got a behind-the-scenes look at the final dress rehearsal for The Nutcracker on Wednesday afternoon.

We went to Kodak Hall to check out the final preparations before the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Rochester City Ballet take to the stage for opening night.

The show is Rochester’s longest-running holiday tradition.

“It’s a tradition, it’s been a holiday tradition in the united states since the 1950’s,” said Tara Simoncic, a guest conductor for The Nutcracker. “It really became adopted by our culture as a Christmas and holiday special family time.”
