Man hospitalized after being hit by car on Dewey Ave

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say a car hit a man as he was walking near the intersection of Dewey Avenue near Glendale Park on Wednesday morning. The man in his 30s was taken to Strong Hospital to treat his injuries and he is expected to be ok.

Officers say they observed the crash around 1:15 a.m. The driver, a man in his 60s, remained at the scene after he hit the pedestrian at the intersection.

Police say the driver didn’t receive any tickets and alcohol or drugs were not involved in the crash.
