Victim killed in Rush crash on Sunday identified

UPDATE: The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has identified the motorist who died as 32-year-old Jenel Johnson of Lima.

RUSH, N.Y. – One person was killed in a crash Sunday on Rush Lima Road. Two others were taken to the hospital.
Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies say two vehicles were traveling in opposite lanes when one of them crossed the center line, striking the other. It is unclear which vehicle crossed the line.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in that car, as well as the driver of the westbound car, were injured.
Rush Lima Road was closed between Phelps and Scofield roads, but has since reopened.
