Pittsford receives $540,000 grant for sidewalk project

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Town of Pittsford has received a $540,000 grant to build a sidewalk. It will connect the sidewalks on Pittsford Mendon Road around the corner to Thornell Road.
Town Board Member Stephanie Townsend posted a map to social media saying the project will give students a safe way to walk or bike to the elementary, middle, and high schools.
It also creates a continuous route from East Street and Thornell Road into the Village of Pittsford.
