Portal to open for recreational cannabis dispensaries

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — New York State announced Thursday that business owners will be able to submit applications for recreational dispensaries starting this month.
The online portal will open on Aug. 25. The first round of licenses issued will be reserved for people who had marijuana-related offense convictions prior to Mar. 2021 or have experience owning and operating a qualifying business.
