Rochester man going to prison for setting police car on fire

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man is going to prison for rioting.

Dyshika McFadden admitted to setting a Rochester Police car on fire. The incident happened back in May of 2020.

McFadden was convicted of civil disorder and sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison.

Federal prosecutors say McFadden and others used an aerosol can and an open flame to set the rpd car on fire while it was parked in front of the public safety building.

McFadden will also have to pay more than $4,000 in restitution.
