Three people suffer from cuts overnight; RPD is looking into if they’re related

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are investigating after three people suffered from cuts on Friday morning. Officers are trying to determine if the cases are related and where they happened.

Officers began investigating after two people, a 35-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, arrived at Strong Hospital to treat cuts to the upper body. Both are expected to survive and arrived in a private car.

News10NBC’s photojournalist saw officers investigating on Lawrence Street off East Avenue. RPD says that, while initial reports suggest that the two people were cut on Lawrence Street, officers haven’t yet confirmed the location.

While officers were investigating, they learned that a 31-year-old woman had called for an ambulance to Roxborough Road off Genesee Park Boulevard after she was cut in the upper body. She is also expected to survive. RPD is still looking into how she sustained her injuries and whether her injuries are related to the previous incident.
