WORCESTER, Mass. (WBTS) — A 700-pound moose is on its way back to the wild after a tour through the city in Massachusetts.

The critter was spotted several times around Worcester on Wednesday.

At one point, the moose actually hit a car, fell to the ground, got back up and continued its frolic through city streets.

Eventually, the environmental police were able to contain the moose in a safe spot where they could shoot it with tranquilizer darts.

"It's breeding season right now, I'll say it — it's looking for love in the wrong spot," said the Large Animal Response Team’s Sgt. Woytek

It had a few bruises from its run-in with the car but otherwise, it's fine.
