KANSAS CITY, M.O.(WHEC) — Tense moments along the Kansas City Chiefs' parade route this morning.
A slow-speed police chase traveled down the parade route, which was lined with fans celebrating the Chiefs' Super Bowl win.
The driver plowed through a barricade then kept going. Deputies in attendance used spike strips which the car hit but didn’t stop the driver. The driver was headed for a crowd when officers used a pit maneuver to stop it. Two people were taken into custody.
No injuries were reported.
The driver is under investigation for impairment.
