2 hospitalized after crashing into Batavia home

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WHEC) - Two people were transported to the hospital by Mercy Flight Monday after they drove off the road and crashed into a house in Batavia. 

Genesee County Sheriff's deputies received a call around 3:16 p.m. for the report of a motor vehicle accident off Route 98 in the Town of Batavia.

According to deputies, a 2014 Chevy Cruze was traveling south on Route 98 when the driver and passenger allegedly got into a domestic fight. 

The car crossed over the center line and went off the shoulder of the road roughly 200 feet before crashing into a home owned by Offhaus Farms. Deputies say no one was inside the home at the time of the crash. 

The driver, Rodney Harmon Jr., was transported to Strong Hospital for a full medical evaluation. 

His passenger, Josette Harmon, was transported to United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia and then to Strong Hospital due to her injuries. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation with possible charges pending.
