22-year-old killed in crash in Seneca County

COVERT, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday released information about a deadly crash from earlier this month.
It happened on Saturday, Oct. 2 on State Route 96 in the town of Covert.
The Sheriff’s Office said Tacara Ortiz, 22, was headed north on State Route 96 when she left the road, hit a culvert, caught air and rolled into a nearby ditch.
Oritz was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Deputies are still investigating the cause of the crash.
