$2K reward offered for info after kitten thrown from moving car dies

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WHEC) -- An infuriated community is now demanding justice after a kitten, thrown from a moving car Saturday night in Batavia, died. 

A local organization, Volunteers for Animals, as well as community supporters, have offered a reward for information leading to an arrest of those responsible.

The Genesee County Sheriff's Office says a witness saw the kitten being thrown from a red car around 8:45 p.m. on State Route 98 near West Saile Drive.

The kitten was an eight-week-old female domestic shorthair brown tiger.

The reward is set at $2,000.
