ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Three people in New York are under isolation as the CDC tests for the coronavirus.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says four people were initially put under investigation by the New York State Health Department and tested by the CDC.
One of the cases was proven negative, and three are still pending.
While the risk for New York is currently low, the governor is urging New Yorkers to be more vigilant.
Health officials also announced Friday a second confirmed case of the coronavirus in the U.S.
They say a 60-year-old Chicago woman returned from China last week without showing any signs of the pneumonia-like illness. But a few days later, she reported feeling sick.
Doctors with the CDC say the woman is hospitalized to prevent the spread of the virus and is doing well.
