32-year-old woman shot in city with life-threatening injuries

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A 32-year-old woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was shot Sunday evening, police say.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Lyell Avenue and Child Street around 5 p.m.
The victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.
The investigation is still ongoing and police is asking anyone with information to call 911.
Lyell Avenue is shut down at Lyell and Cameron to Lyell and Angle Street and at Child and Laslle Street.
