600 Marijuana plants seized across Ontario, Wayne and Monroe Counties

An investigation into four properties in Ontario, Wayne and Monroe Counties has resulted in the seizure of 600 marijuana plants according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.

Law officials say that they have seized nearly 10 pounds of marijuana which was in various stages of growth as well as tools used for cultivation.

Search warrants were issued for the four properties on June 7. Those properties were located on State Route 15A in the Town of Canadice, Muckland Avenue in the Town of Butler, Gallup Road in the Town of Sweden, and Tennyson Way in the Town of Mendon.

The search warrants came after an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff's Department and the Canandaigua Police Department.

As a result of the investigation both 40-year-old Patrick Gallo of Pittsford and 45-year-old Eric Schults of Spencerport were arrested.

Both of the men were charged with enterprise corruption. They have each been arraigned.

Gallo is being held on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond and Schults is being held on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 insured bond.

The Geneva Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff's Office, and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search.
