'A Quiet Place 2?' John Krasinski scouts WNY restaurant for possible filming site

AKRON, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Wednesday was an exciting day for one Western New York restaurant.

Actor, writer and director John Krasinski visited the Candy Apple Cafe in Akron near Buffalo.

The cafe tells News10NBC "The Office" actor was looking at it for a possible filming site.

He's thinking about shooting a sequel to his 2018 film "A Quiet Place" in Western, New York.

He also posed for pictures with fans outside the cafe.

Krasinski confirmed in February that he will be directing "A Quiet Place 2."

The first movie filmed in Upstate New York near Utica in 2017.
