ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— New York State has COVID vaccination sites all across the state, but, what if you can't leave your home?
AARP, an organization that represents senior citizens, sent a letter to Governor Andrew Cuomo to call on the state to put a plan together that allows homebound seniors to get vaccinated without leaving their house.
In its letter, the group claims the state has left it behind.
Members say most of the seniors in the group it represents suffer from serious medical conditions, putting them and their caregivers at risk.
The state hasn't announced a plan that would allow at-home vaccinations.
