Classes canceled at Albion Central Schools Tuesday due to active shooter drill

ALBION, N.Y. (WHEC) -- In Orleans County, classes are canceled at the Albion Central School District on Tuesday for a police drill.

The Albion Police Department will hold an active shooter-emergency response drill on the school campus from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The drill will involve multiple local law enforcement, EMS and fire service agencies.

Route 31 will be closed to through traffic between Route 98 and Clarendon Street during the drill.

Residents who live in the area will be allowed to access residences on Route 31. No other traffic will be permitted.

Drivers are asked to avoid the Albion Central School District campuses during the drill so that it can be conducted safely and effectively.
