ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The trial is underway for a former Webster teacher and basketball coach charged with raping a player on his team.

The alleged victim took the witness stand Monday morning. She was 14-years-old when the alleged incident happened back in January 2017.

She told the jury that Kali Watkins asked her to come in early before a game. She says she was in the locker room when he forced himself on her.

The defense will cross-examine the witness when court resumes at 12:45 p.m.

Watkins' attorney says his client has an alibi for the possible dates his accuser says she was raped.
