The storm is turning into a workout for some people shoveling their driveways. If you aren't feeling up to the task, there's an app for that.

The Plowz and Mowz app provides an easy way for users to find someone to shovel their driveway one-time, instead of relying on a seasonal contractor.

Chris Burch owns Nash Lawn and Plow in Henrietta. He deals with dozens of contract jobs to plow driveways for the winter season and now he gets jobs from the Plowz and Mowz app.

"It just makes it easier on people because they’re not hunting down a plow guy wondering if he’s going to show up," Burch said.

In just a matter of clicks users can find someone to plow their driveway. Customers choose the time of day when they want the service done. Everything is done through the app.

"The cool thing about Plowz and Mowz is that they can go on the app ask for a service and we can provide the service," Burch said.

The app also offers a way for people to make extra money doing various outside tasks like snow removal, lawn work and more. Burch does several driveways every day through the app.

"The last snow storm my company made an extra $800 just on one time plows," Burch said.

Burch posts pictures of the work to the app after each job then customers rate his service. The user pays through the app with a credit card.

Depending on the size of your driveway it will cost anywhere from $25 to $90 dollars to get it plowed through the app. You can get the Plowz and Mowz app in the App Store or Google Play for free.
