A local assemblyman faced a judge Tuesday on bribery charges.
Prosecutors say Joe Errigo took more than $10,000 to introduce a bill that would allow the state to veto local zoning changes.
The bill never passed.
In court Tuesday, the case was adjourned until February.
Errigo's attorney says at that point, the case will be waived to the grand jury or a potential plea deal would be reached.
Errigo's attorney also addressed his client's current mindset.
"He's doing pretty good, you know, like any defendant with a case in this building. He's concerned but he's got the support of his family which is very helpful," said Joe Damelio, Errigo's attorney.
Another man charged in connection with the case, lobbyist Robert Scott Gaddy, also appeared in federal court Tuesday. His case will be delayed for a month while the defense reviews the case.
