Assemblyman Errigo scheduled to appear back in court in November

New York State Assemblyman Joe Errigo has been released from without bail. 

Errigo was released provided that he appears to all further proceedings as required, and agrees to serve any sentence imposed on him.

Back on Oct. 10, the FBI has charged the assemblyman with bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds and honest services wire fraud.

According to a criminal complaint, Errigo had an "unusually close relationship" with a lobbyist regarding a bribery scheme.

Errigo is expected back in court on Nov. 20. 

The terms of his release are as follows: 

  • Errigo has to notify officials of any changes in address or phone number.
  • Errigo cannot commit any offense that violates federal, state or local laws while on release
  • Errigo must cooperate in giving a DNA sample if and when required.
