Batavia man who pleaded guilty to enticing 14-year-old-girl sentenced to 7 years in prison

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Batavia man who pleaded guilty to enticing a local teen was sentenced to seven years in prison and 10 years of supervised release.

23-year-old Guillermo Torres-Acevedo pled guilty to having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl on Nov. 25, 2018. He was 22 at the time.

He was arrested the next day and charged with rape in violation of New York Penal Law.

On Nov. 29, 2018, Torres-Acevedo picked up the victim from school, and drove to Pennsylvania, where they had sexual relations again, constituting statutory sexual assault under Pennsylvania law.

The incident triggered an Amber Alert at the time.
