NEW YORK (WHEC) -- A bill in the state Assembly removes the requirement that a physician must prescribe medical marijuana.
A practitioner would also be authorized to prescribe controlled substances in New York.
This legislation requires the registration of designated caregiver facilities and it would increase the supply of marijuana from 30 to 60 days worth.
The bill was referred to the health committee on Monday.
