On 4th and 12, late in the fourth quarter, Andy Dalton threw a 49-yard touchdown that put the Bengals over the Ravens and allowed Buffalo to move past Baltimore into the playoffs.
The game meant little to the Bengals -- who were far out of the playoffs picture -- but the clutch play meant the world to Bills fans. With that Bengals win, the Bills will play their first playoff game in 17 years this Sunday.
To show their thanks, fans gave back to Andy Dalton's charity. According to the Andy and Jordan Foundation, the charity has received 2,500 donations totaling $57,000. Many fans are donating $17 -- a dollar for each year of the drought.
"Bills fans, you’re truly amazing," the foundation tweeted. "Thank you for believing in Andy and JJ and the mission of the foundation. Good luck in the playoffs!"
According to its website, the Andy and Jordan Foundation provides "daily support, opportunities, resources and life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families in Cincinnati and Fort Worth."
