Buffalo Bills players took the field together for their first off-season workout on Monday, but much of the was instead on the team's General Manager ahead of next week's draft.

After all, it's the question that dominated the conversation for Bills fans all offseason. What is the team going to do in the draft to find a franchise quarterback? It's a subject that general manager Brandon Beane faced head on.

"You have to have a franchise quarterback," he says. "It's a quarterback league and you need to get a quarterback."

This is Beane's first draft as GM in Buffalo. He was hired after the draft last year, but he's already finding out how important the quarterback position is to Bills fans.

"That's why you love this fan base, they're going to give you their opinion," says Beane.

"You may not ask for it, but they're going to give it to you anyway. They care and that's all you can really ask for. Until we can stand up here and say we have one, we'll be looking for our franchise quarterback."

As far as what the Bills will actually do in the draft?

Beane said he and his staff will go through their own mock draft on Monday, and members of the front office will act as GMs from other NFL teams, giving Beane plenty of chances to practice drafting his franchise quarterback,
