FAIRPORT, N.Y. (WHEC) - The annual "Fairport Angels Blood Drive" in memory of five Fairport students who died in a car accident is coming up this June.
The event will be held on June 20 at the St. John of Rochester Gymnasium at 8 Wickford Way in Fairport. The event will last from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The drive comes around the 12th anniversary of the crash which took the lives of Hannah Cogdon, Bailey Goodman, Meredith McClure, Sara Monnat, and Katie Shirley. The five Fairport students had graduated from Fairport High School only five days before the accident.
It is the eighth annual blood drive in their memory.

During the 2018 blood drive, they were able to collect 59 units of blood which helped save up to 177 lives.
