Man acquitted of 2015 shooting killed on Dewey Ave

UPDATE: Police have confirmed that the victim was Jalen Everett.

Everett was found not guilty for three counts of second-degree murder in the shooting at the Genesee Street Boys and Girls Club in 2015.


Everett was intially found guilty but a judge set aside the verdict after a juror was accused of making racist remarks.


ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Police have confirmed they are investigating a homicide on Dewey Avenue.

Police say a man was shot in the area of Dewey then driven to Dewey and Electric Avenue where he was picked up by an ambulance.

The man was taken to Strong where he died.
