Parole absconder accused of robbing Brighton bank

BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WHEC) — Authorities have caught the man wanted in a bank robbery in Brighton.

The Citizens Bank located in the Tops Friendly Market on South Clinton Avenue was robbed on Aug. 24.

Brighton Police Chief Mark Henderson says 31-year-old Michael Tyo, a parole absconder from the Syracuse area, is being held in the Onondaga County Jail.

Henderson says the police department is filing charges against Tyo.
