Brighton school leaders respond after racist videos surface

BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WHEC)- Brighton school leaders have responded after racist videos made by a student surfaced.

In a statement, Brighton School Superintendent Dr. Kevin McGowan said the videos portrayed "horrid, hateful speech."

He goes on to say, among other things, "We have been actively involved in supporting the student the videos were directed toward, addressing those that may have been silent bystanders, and aggressively addressing this as a student discipline issue."
