Brighton's school superintendent sent a letter to parents Friday about efforts to improve diversity.
At a recent Brighton Town Board meeting, a student accused the school district of racist attitudes.
Superintendent Kevin McGowan says that no one should experience discrimination or a lack of equality.
He wrote that the district will re-evaluate recruitment to diversify staff next year.
McGowan added that outside experts, and input from parents and students, will be welcomed during the program.
