Brighton Town Supervisor Bill Moehle has announced he is directing developers to reduce the overall size of the Whole Foods project.

At a news conference at the Brighton Town Hall Wednesday, Moehle said he will seek to prohibit shoppers from accessing the Whole Foods Plaza from Clover Street and Allens Creek Road.

"I believe that the proposed Whole Foods Plaza has the potential to be a win-win for our entire community, but only if we protect our Brighton neighborhoods," Moehle said.

News10NBC's Jennifer Lewke reached out to the developers from the Daniele Family Companies an hour before Moehle's press conference. They said they had no idea what Moehle was going to discuss Wednesday afternoon.

Moehle says if the developers agree to make these changes, the Town Board will consider a findings statement at its March 28 meeting.
