BROCKPORT, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Paramedics took a homeowner to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a Tuesday morning fire in Brockport.
Firefighters faced freezing temperatures to battle flames at a home of West Sweden Road just before 11 a.m.
Due to exploding oxygen bottles in the home, firefighters say the fire spread quickly. Firefighters had to battle the home from outside due to the heavy fire conditions.
A dog inside the home was rescued and is being cared for by a neighbor.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
