Brooklyn-based Other Half Brewing is coming to western New York.
According to Empire State Development, the brewery has secured its second location at the former location of Nedloh Brewing Company in the Village of East Bloomfield, Ontario County.
The project will include renovations to the building, which was built just four years ago.
Other Half Brewing expects to hire up to 35 employees over the next five years.
Empire State Development has offered up to $400,000 in performance-based Excelsior Tax Credits, which are directly tied to those job creation commitments.
Other Half Brewing Co-Founder Andrew Burman said, “We are extremely excited about our upstate expansion. With the help of Governor Cuomo and the Excelsior Program, we will be able to brew our beers in East Bloomfield NY. We are ecstatic to be able to support a section of the state that has been so amazingly supportive of us. Rochester and the surrounding cities have an energy about craft beer that is contagious. We can't wait to see what the future holds."
The brewery expects to open the production facility and tasting room in the next few months.
