"This is the greatest feeling in the world, it's indescribable... and we've been waiting 27 years for this moment," Dixon said.

Dixon was convicted of second-degree murder in 1991 but has maintained his innocence.

In court Wednesday, another man, Lamarr Scott confessed to the killing of Torriano Jackson and pleaded guilty.

Dixon was serving a sentence of 39 years to life.

"You know, God tests all of us, and that you never know what the test is going to be, or how long the test is going to last," Dixon said. "You just have to hang in there."

Dixon is an artist. His artwork of golf courses, done while in prison, has gotten him a lot of attention from magazine's like "Golf Digest."

Dixon says he wants to pursue that and is looking forward to getting to know his daughter who was just four months old when he went to prison.
