ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A California man has pleaded guilty to traveling to Rochester in an attempt to have sex with a 12-year-old girl.

Investigators say between April 2018 and February 2019, Murillo used the social media app Kik Messenger to engage in sexually explicit conversations with someone he thought was a 12-year-old girl named Hannah in Avon.
Murillo flew from Los Angeles to Rochester in February to have sex with the girl who was actually an undercover investigator with the New York State Police. He was taken into custody at the airport.
