ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Makers from around the Rochester area came out for the sixth annual Maker Faire Rochester on Saturday.
The Rochester Convention Center played host to the creators of over 175 projects ranging from homemade crafts to robots and other technology.
Organizers of the event say the Faire is for anyone who creates.
"A Maker Faire is basically for anyone that loves doing anything," said co-chair Rose Scordo. "There's something for everyone. There's everything from sewing to robotics to welding, we have fire makers outside, a unicorn, a bunch of different over scale things and mini things, and everything in between."
The Maker Faire originated in San Francisco in 2006. Maker Faire Rochester held its first event in 2014.
