CLARENCE, NY — An unusual piece of American history went on the auction block this weekend in Clarence.

The CBS News camera that captured the killing of suspected John F. Kennedy assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, sold for $16,000 at Kelly's Antique World in Clarence.

That camera belonged to a Western New York man Isadore "Izzy" Bleckman, who was in the right place to capture history.
Bleckman is retired and living in Western New York these days, but 54 years ago, the Chicago native was on the scene of one of the most dramatic events of the 1960's.

He was a news photographer and was rolling as Jack Ruby stepped out of the crowd and killed Oswald.
