You may have seen some 300 kids in blue shirts out cleaning up our streets on Wednesday.

The group was all Champion Academy students, kicking off their community service initiative.

The academy is run by local football star Roland Williams. The teens cleaned up Martin Luther King Junior Memorial Park and the surrounding area.

"We just started with our orientation that was two weeks over at East High School, and this is their first time out in a public, setting to implement some of the strategies we've talked about how to be a successful individual," says Williams.

After their efforts, students regrouped in front of the Rochester Public Library where they were presented with their very own library cards.
