CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Cheektowaga man wanted by the FBI for allegedly entering the U.S. Capitol unlawfully on Jan. 6 is now in federal custody.
Our Buffalo affiliate confirms Pete Harding is being held in the Niagara County Jail, he was taken there Wednesday night, and is in custody on behalf of United States Marshals.
Federal authorities searched Harding's home on Wednesday.
Harding has admitted to participating in the rally on Jan. 6, and posted images on social media showing him wearing the same clothing as the man that appears to be Harding in the FBI photo.
A Syracuse man is also now in custody in connection to the breach.
