ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man was charged with assault after a woman was found walking down the sidewalk on Chestnut Street, bleeding.
Rochester police say just before 7 p.m. they received a report that a woman was walking on the sidewalk, bleeding. Officers found an 18-year-old woman from Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries that police described as a “puncture wound.”
She was transported to the University of Rochester Medical Center by AMR.
Officers say they followed a blood trail to apartments at 35 Chestnut Street, where they located 61-year-old Antonio Nelson.
Police arrested him and charged him with second degree assault.
He is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday morning.
